After much anticipation, Naim Audio’s latest all-in-one player ‘Mu-So Qb’ has now been released and we have stock available to audition and buy in our Central London showroom.
The Qb is the more compact version of Naim’s incredibly successful Mu-So player which was released in 2014.
Like the larger Mu-So, the Qb is able to stream music is a wide variety of ways including internet radio, UPnP, Airplay, Spotify Connect, Tidal, Bluetooth and USB as well as having an optical input to connect to other digital devices like TVs and CD players.
Another appealing feature of the Mu-So range is their ability to be used in a multi-room system. All Naim streamers work from the same app, allowing you to operate all streamers and control the music throughout your home from just one app.
Underneath the grill, the design of Mu-So Qb is very well thought out. To achieve that distinctive Naim sound, their engineers had to interrogate every component and adjust speaker angles by the smallest of fractions. It led to an arrangement of five drivers, offset and angled perfectly to create a left-right dispersion asymmetry.
Mu-So Qb uses the same 32-bit digital processor as Mu-So. Fine-tuned in the listening room, it controls the flow of music information to each speaker.
This is an incredibly impressive machine. The size of the sound stage that it is able to produce is exceptional. If you couldn’t see the Qb you would never believe that such a full and detailed sound was coming from such a discrete system. The bass goes deep and keeps control extremely well. Quite remarkably, Naim have been able to keep their signature sound and scale it down into a fantastically compact and beautiful all-in-one device.
