The Chord Company’s New Reference Cable ‘chordmusic’ Lands At KJ West One.

ChordMusic is a unique and revolutionary new high-end cable range from British manufacturer The Chord Company. We are pleased to announce that we now have a full range of demonstration stock in our London store

At KJ, we believe cables are absolutely imperative to a system’s performance. When you have high-end equipment like we stock, it is so important that you use a cable that will get the best out of your electronics and loudspeaker. It is because of this that we chose to bring in ChordMusic.

It is a very innovative cable which uses a unique new insulation material called Taylon (as opposed to the PTFE that has previously been used on Chord cables). This material behaves very differently to PTFE and one of its critical differences is that it is phase stable at typical room temperatures.  This material has previously been used only for military purposes.

ChordMusic uses techniques developed for the Sarum Super ARAY, but has gone a step further and applied a constrained layer of mechanical damping to the conductor grouping. It’s a time consuming process but with a cable as transparent and neutral as ChordMusic, the improvements are easy to hear.

The cable also had an added external metallic braid to further improve mechanical damping and HF noise isolation before the final braided cover is fitted.

ChordMusic is a true audiophile cable. It may not look spectacular, there is no matrix and it is relatively standard thickness, but rest assured ChordMusic can compete with the finest audio cables in the world in terms of its transparency and realism. This is a special cable.

If you are looking to get a little more out of your system, we would encourage you to come in and hear what ChordMusic is capable of. Get in touch now to arrange a demonstration
