Description
The Model 1200MK3 valve phono preamplifiers are Kazutoshi Yamada’s pride and joy among all his high-end audio creations. Model 1200’s unique single-ended circuit has been at the pinnacle of phono “equalisers” for many culminating with the Mk3 15EQ version released in 2020 together with the launch of the M1200 Signature version with a true differential (balanced) circuit of the same ilk. Five EQ curve settings (RIAA, Decca, EMI, Columbia and Teldec) have now the added flexibility towards perfection through three new “4th Time Constant” settings reflecting the master cutting heads (Ortofon, Westrex and Teldec) allowing in total 15 permutation of all settings and an even more perfect rendition of original recordings.
It incorporates the in-house fixed impedance LCR circuit, complex separate valve power supply unit, choice of high and low impedance inputs (either RCA or XLR) and RCA and XLR main outputs.
