PH9 Phono Stage
Part of Audio Research’s new and improved ‘Foundation Series’ the PH9 is a seriously impressive valve phono stage which is a fantastic pairing for a wide range of cartridges and turntables.
Inside the PH9 lies and impressive trio of 6H30 valves which are the base of a clear signal path designed specifically to produce the cleanest, most transparent phono amplification possible.
The PH9 features five different impedance settings allow for cartridge loading, which can be changed easily with the remote control. Also included in the menu is cartridge impedance, tube hours and the auto shutdown feature.
The Foundation Series continues the Audio Research legacy of high-definition audio which has been their guiding principle for all products.
We chose the PH9 for KJ West One as it takes what was already stunning preamplifier (the PH8) that next step further in terms of clarity and musicality. Combined with the beautiful new appearance of the Foundation Series, this is a very appealing new offering from one of the industry’s best known high-end manufacturers.
