We had a full day technical training at Devialet in Paris yesterday focusing on what makes Devialet a revolutionary audio product.
First of all, it is ADH technology, a core of all Devialet models.
“A” is for Class A amplifier (control of the voltage), that is pure analogue conventional amplification, that makes the sound very natural and musical (not digital in any way)
“D” is for class D amplifier (control of the current output), that is like power steering to the Class A, making the performance very efficient.
“H” is for hybrid of Class A and Class D working together – “D” provides current to “A” but only “A” “touches” the sound.
Thanks to all this and despite its size, Devialet provides full Class A amplifier listening experience, and is able to drive some very serious loudspeakers.
